Recorder of Deeds
The Office of the Recorder of Deeds maintains public records and documents, including those pertaining to land ownership, federal and state tax liens, marriages, and military discharges.
Service Cutoff Times:
Marriage Licenses – 4:00 p.m. *
* We accept cash and debit cards for marriage licenses. Checks are not accepted.
Documents brought in after 3:00 will be processed the next business day.
Electronic recordings are available up to 4:00 p.m.
We do not have any blank forms nor can we prepare a document for you. You may either prepare it yourself or contact a real estate attorney to prepare it on your behalf. If you choose to prepare it yourself you will need a standardized form (Quit Claim Deed, Warranty Deed, Beneficiary Deed, or any type of Affidavit, etc.) that meets Missouri formatting requirements. You should be able to get Missouri standardized forms on the internet, or at a local office supply retailer.
